			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>NCCC is a team-based national service program for young adults age 18 – 24. We are currently accepting applications for service projects. The NCCC Pacific Region Campus is based in Sacramento, California and serves Washington, Oregon, Nevada, California, Wyoming, Montana, Hawaii, Alaska, Idaho, Utah, and the Pacific Territories.  NCCC engages diverse teams of 9-12 members in 3-9 week service projects that address critical community needs related to the following areas: natural and other disasters (including preparedness), infrastructure improvements, environmental stewardship and conservation, energy conservation, as well as urban and rural development.<br />
Sample projects include, but are not limited to:<br />
•Painting and beautification projects<br />
•Fuels reduction<br />
•Camp improvements<br />
•Community gardening<br />
•Youth and/or homeless services programming support<br />
•Construction and repair of affordable homes<br />
•Disaster planning and long-term recovery<br />
•Weatherization<br />
•Food bank program support<br />
Our next application deadline for projects between the end of March and end of May is December 17th. Our 4th and final deadline for the year will be February 4th.<br />
